Our mission is to provide a database for FAA part 107 Remote Pilot License holders to find and apply to jobs. Be that short term contract work or a long term career. Finding work online, (especially as a new pilot) can be difficult. Other job searching sites have unintuitive layouts, and are difficult to navigate. We focus on positions that only handle drone flight. This will make it easier for both businesses to find the right fit, and operators to find fulfilling occupations.
The “Drone Operator” Directory is a Karen Wagner High School capstone pilot program for Bexar County and surrounding areas, it is designed to help businesses, contractors, government agencies, and property owners quickly identify qualified FAA Part 107 Remote Pilots available for drone-related work throughout the San Antonio and South-Central Texas region. Each listing can provide the operator’s service area, FAA Part 107 certification status, areas of specialization, equipment and capabilities, availability, and expected pay scale or project-rate range, allowing organizations to match their operational requirements with appropriately qualified pilots. The directory can also identify service requirements, such as aerial photography and videography, mapping and surveying support, inspections, construction documentation, real-estate imaging, agriculture, public-safety support, and other UAS services. Under FAA rules, commercial and other non-recreational drone operations generally require the operator to hold an FAA Remote Pilot Certificate and comply with applicable Part 107 operating requirements, including registration, airspace authorization when required, and current recurrent training.
